Second Level Domain Name Registration

.KE is divided into various domain levels which serve different functions depending on the type of Institution. A second-level domain name distinguishes what kind of entity you are.

 

  • .ac.ke - Institutions of Higher Educations

  • .sc.ke - Schools

  • .co.ke - Companies

  • .or.ke - Not-for-Profit-Making Organizations or NGO's

  • .ne.ke - Network Devices

  • .go.ke - Government Entities

  • .me.ke - Personal names

  • .mobi.ke - Mobile content

  • .info.ke - Information

 

Before registering some second level domain names, proof of ownership need to be produced. The following entities will require supporting documents such as the certificate of registration: Government agencies, Educational institutions (both Higher education, ac, and lower and middle institutions, sc)
